So I’ve just about had it with trying to decide where I’m going to college, so if anyone wants to do it for me that would be great.
It’s pretty much down to Holy Cross and BC. I want to be close to home, and Holy Cross is about 45 minutes closer (1:15 as opposed to BC’s 2 hours). I also like the smaller feel of HC but a couple of friends (not super close) are going to BC and I feel like I would like having a few familiar faces.
Other than that I can’t seem to form an opinion on either school, so if any alumni/current students want to weigh in I would be eternally in your debt.
To be perfectly honest I’m dreading college (leaving home, finding a whole new friend group, the party scene (introvert whose judgement is bad enough without adding intoxicants) etc.) and can’t say I felt— to quote the dozens of backwards-walking tour guides—home anywhere.
I’d love to hear what you guys all have to say on the subject, because at the moment I can’t even think about it without falling into full-scale panic mode, which frankly isn’t incredibly productive.
I will defend Elizabeth Bennet to the death I am serious you pretentious little journalist you can go freaking marry Mr. Collins and listen to Fordyce’s sermons for the rest of your hellish life.
What’s that quote Sarah aka the Yeti said about how people are thinking about themselves just as much as you think about yourself so stop worrying that everyone’s constantly judging you… or something along those lines? I have a college application essay asking for the best advice I’ve ever received and that one wins but I don’t want to paraphrase it too badly. If you remember the quote or one of the videos john mentioned it in I will be forever in your debt and I’ll maybe name my first child after you idk we can work out the details later.
changed my about from 17 to 18 is this what adulthood feels like all the time
Sometimes I think I hear an audible laugh whenever I hit submit on the common app.
If this first hour of adulthood is any reflection of how the rest of my life is going to go, I will be as chronically disorganized as ever.
Writing a college application supplement essay (due in 24 hours HAHAHA I’m going insane) desperately need the quote Jane Austen says describing Elizabeth Bennet (it’s like “as pleasant a character as ever did appear on the page” idk something like that) somehow I can’t find it on the interwebs…
if anyone can help a girl out that’d be fantastic and I will love you forever and ever thank you :)
